چکیده

Background Vascular calcifications have been identified as predictors of mortality in several cardiovascular diseases but not investigated context acute mesenteric ischemia. The aim this study was to investigate the impact vascular patients with Methods Patients admitted for an ischemia were retrospectively included. presence visceral aorta, celiac trunk, superior artery, and renal arteries assessed on computed tomography scan images at arterial phase. calcification volumes measured using software Aquarius iNtuition Edition®. Results all-cause 55 out 86 (63.9%) a median follow-up 3.5 days (1–243). survival rate artery significantly lower than that those without (22% vs. 55.6%, P = 0.019). who died had higher frequency arteries. Conclusions is associated increased diagnosed Further studies are required identify mechanisms underlying association.
